Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Japan has a rapidly aging population, leading to a high demand for professional caregivers. Nursing homes, elderly care facilities, and home care services are experiencing a shortage of care workers. Meihoku Training prepares students to fill this demand by providing practical skills, Japanese language training, and guidance on workplace expectations, making graduates highly employable under the SSW – Kaigo visa.

In caregiving jobs, daily communication with residents and staff is essential. Generally, a Japanese level equivalent to N4 or above is required.

While caregiving can involve physical tasks, learning proper caregiving techniques helps reduce physical strain. Through hands-on training, we teach safe and efficient methods of care.

In addition to technical skills, kindness, communication, and teamwork are highly valued. At Meihoku Training, we also teach Japanese caregiving culture and values.

Wages are paid in accordance with Japanese labor laws. The minimum wage is guaranteed, and overtime pay should be paid in full as required by law.
